Nightwish Kick-Off "Decades" Tour
Today marks both the kickoff of Nightwish's 9 month globe-spanning tour in support of their greatest hits album, "Decades," but also the release date of the album.
The tour will see Nightwish perform hits from all throughout their 20 year career.

In reference to the tour, founding member Tuomas Holopainen commented: "It was already a few years ago that Ewo, our beloved manager, came up with the idea of 'How about after the Endless Forms... tour you take a year off as discussed and after that we spend the next year celebrating the 20 years of NIGHTWISH so that you would be playing mainly the older songs?' and we just thought that this is a brilliant idea. Then, at some point, the idea of this compilation together with this tour came along."
The release will be accompanied by a 9-month tour across the globe. Tonight, the band kicks off their 34-date North American tour! The journey will continue with dozens of European festival and headline shows. On this tour, NIGHTWISH will also be presenting a special set list, featuring rare material from the early years of their career. That's why these evenings will not only be special events for the fans, but also for the band themselves. Be prepared to hear a lot of old school material! All dates can be found below.
